It's cloudy and grey. It's in the 50's. It's warm for this time of year in Indiana. But what really matters is that Notre Dame blew a taylor made winning season. With embarrassing losses to The United Sates Naval Academy and UConn I don't think there's much hope for Weis. It's rumored that his replacement could be Jon Gruden, who I think is terrible on Monday Night Football, but wouldn't be a bad fit. ND tried to hire him way back when he coached the Raiders but went with Ty Willingham instead. Also Jim Harbaugh? The long time always being sacked QB for the Colts in the early-mid '90s? Just go for Joe Montana. Hey, the Colts -- 10-0. But I think the Vikings are the best team in the NFL.
I've been writing a lot lately. Mainly screenplays. One in particular, Teaching English, I have sent to some agencies. A mid-sized agency simply titled Screenplay Writer's Agency has been putting me through the wringer. The first step when submitting a play is to send a query letter. This is a brief synopsis (short paragraph) and log line (1-3 sentence description) of your play. If satisfactory the agency asks for your screenplay. If they like it (If it's commercial enough) they will agree to represent you. That's where I am with Screenplay Writer's Agency, representation. Now they will send me a contract. Once I sign it, I agree to share the script with no other agency for one year. However, there is a clause. I can choose to fire Screenplay Writer's Agency within the first 90 days of representation. They won't try to sell it until I have it critiqued by a member of the writer's guild and I've made improvements to the script as suggested by the critique. So now I'll try to have my professor, who is a WGA member, write a critique. But it's asking a lot. You see good critiques are pretty lengthy and usually command a large price. So if he refuses, then I'll fork over the $85 or so to have this done by another WGA member. Luckily my agent has connections to good discounts on critiques. I think I've been blessed with representation by a reputable agency. They only get paid if I get paid.
I have reached the page 102 mark in a nearly completed script. I'll turn in the thing for my final. Maybe an A? The 19th marks the last day of class. If David comes down we'll have a heckuva rode trip back to the Hoosier state.
